About

The 3D geospatial vision research group is part of the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Faculty of Construction and Environment of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The aim is to apply 3D multi-modality remote sensing techniques and computer vision based intelligent methods to solve practical and theoretical problems in the field of urban and enviromental informatics. These systems help in environmental monitoring, ecological modelling, asset inventory and management, crisis management, urban sensing, modelling of the interior of buildings, etc. We try to build up a multidisciplinary group (computer scientists, geomatics engineers, and geographers) consisting of faculty members and several research assistants, PhD students, postdocs and visiting scholars.
